Wild Edible Plants Workshop  (Saturday, December 6th, 2003; 9am-5pm)

Throughout most of human history our ancestors lived well off of the bounty they harvested from the local landscape.  Wild edible plants can provide an economical, highly nutritious, and deeply rewarding supplement to your family's diet.

Highlights:

• Learn how to safely identify, harvest, and prepare nutritious wild winter edibles from your own neighborhood.
• No experience is necessary to learn several safe, common, easily identified wild edible plants.
• Taught by the Midwest Native Skills Institute
• Hands-on workshop with opportunities to sample some wild edible plants.

Participants should bring:

• A notebook and pencils (colored pencils can be helpful)
• A camera (if you have one)

Where:

• Milford, OH (just east of Cincinnati along I-275)
• The morning lecture and afternoon food preparation will be at Erik's home.
• The field studies and gathering will be conducted outside so come prepared for the weather.

Cost:

• An incredible bargain at only $30 - $60 (on a sliding scale) per person!
